(Borter) St. John, age 88, died Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Community North Hospital. Born on April 20, 1923 in Linton, she was the daughter of Earl and Golda (Hasler) Borter. Frankie married Charles S. St. John on July 5, 1940. She was a housewife, loved bluebirds and enjoyed watching birds of all kinds. Surviving her are her husband of 71 years, Charles St. John of Greenfield; daughters, Charlotte Brandle of Fortville, Carol (Adam) Hays of Middletown, Teri Benjamin of Missoula, Montana, and Jaci (Benny) Owens of Greenfield; brother, Ed (Pat) Borter of Odon; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great great-granddaughter. Preceding her in death were her parents, Earl and Golda Borter; an infant son, Stuart; grandson, Casey Bradley; and brother, Franklin Duane Borter. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 9, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will be on Thursday, November 10, at 11:00 a.m. also at the mortuary. Pastor John Davis will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
