The St. John Genealogy 1907 Book |
Numbering Error for OSA4039 Samuel St. John:
Page 511 probably the son of Job(2), No. 80
Job is OSA0081
Daniel is OSA0080
It is unclear how to resolve this issue as there seems no supportive evidence at this time to place this Samuel with either Daniel (80) or Job (81).
13 Oct 2016 Update: DNA evidence for his descendant confirms this Unclassified Individual is a descendant of Captain Samuel St. John and Rebecca Olmstead but unfortunately it does not isolate one son from the other as the father.
4 Jul 2019 Update: Unclassified 4039 is the son of Job St. John. See Newsletter for August & September 2019 for Classification of 4039 as Job's son. |

Notes: Orline Alexander stated Unclassified 4039 was probably the son of 80 Job. 80 = Daniel and Job was his brother 81. This DNA test subject does confirm this unclassified individual does genetically descend from Daniel and Job's father Capt. Samuel St. John and Rebecca Olmstead but confirming which brother he belongs to, remains unclear. The popular opinion is that he is the son of Job, therefore we place him conditionally under Job until further evidence becomes available.
